Anil Bhasin

Havells India Ltd.
President
“Leadership is all about impact you make on the trade, influence the consumers about your technology and inspires team members to add value to their careers thereby building a Brand. Havells India is where Anil has been driving this philosophy for 2 decades”.

Serving the FMEG sector of the Indian Economy for over 3 decades is no small landmark.

Serving as President in over INR 8000 Crores Super Brand and among the fastest growing Indian MNC has been a long and satisfying journey. Joined Havells in 2004, since then setting one goal and achieving it relentlessly and moving on to another has been more of a daily habit, than a ritual.

He sincerely feels that this journey has been achieved only with the strength of building a Team of professionals, trusting and believing in them.

A journey that could truly be realized because of a trait that he developed is to understand the different shades and hues of marketing and the art of a motivational speaker blended with a perfect PR.

Being a motivational speaker he understands that the positivity gives the power to swim upstream and to rewrite one’s own scripts. In other words, in an environment where competition is high and life is stressful, it is important to trust your Team and give them independence to work.

To add, he understands the power of Rewards & Recognition as well and that marketing alone cannot achieve the Brand positioning. R&R plays equally an important role and adds a halo around that activates the power of pull-factor in marketing.

Building a Super Brand calls for weaving all the Teams and Departments into one anthem and thus it starts with recruiting the right person, retraining him and helping him hone his skills continuously is equally important. At Havells, this is a process which is considered sacrosanct. More importantly, to retain that talent, empathy is very critical to value the feelings of another as equally valid to your own. Education without empathy is akin to mind without conscience.
